The only way you will make it is to know that you have the right to know everything about the vehicle and the purchase. You should be able to have any car you choose inspected by a mechanic of your choice prior to purchasing. Just input "used vehicle checklist" in your search bar. Don't allow yourself to be taken in by how good a car looks, it is what is underneath that is important. Wear old clothes that you don't mind getting greasy and dirty.

If you are going to really check out a car you are going to have to crawl underneath it and you are sure to get dirty but it will be worth it to keep from buying something with problems that can cost you big down the road.
